African American

According to the reading, African Americans were group of lower class people in the past. Throughout history, most of the Africans were forced to come to American and become slaves. In the beginning, African Americans did not have any history, identity, humanity, community, knowledge and language. After a long period of time, they finally and successfully struggled to become free men in American society. Today, everyone believes slavery is wrong. America created affirmative action as a way to compensate African American for past mistreatment. Do you think affirmative action is fair?
